National Historic Marker Dedication & Half-Price Admission for Dover Residents

  • The Warther Museum and Gardens 331 Karl Avenue Dover, OH, 44622 (map)

On June 8th, 2024 we will be hosting a dedication and unveiling of our National Historic Marker. June 8th holds a special place for the Warther Family. Not only was the present day museum building opened on this date in 1963 by Mooney, but exactly 10 years later, Mooney Warther passed away. Join us as we dedicate our marker from our listing on the National Historic Registry, a designation given to us by the National Park Service. The dedication will take place at 9:30am. In addition, we want to remember “Mooney Warther Day” put on by the city of Dover in 1963 and thank the city and its residents for years of support by also hosting half-priced admission for all Dover residents. Guided tours are at 10am, 11:30am, 1pm, and 2:30pm. No reservations is needed for attending the marker dedication and it is a free event. For more information, please call 330-485-3891.
