How we work
We bring the classroom to life
Inspiration is easy to find here. We want to enhance what you teach within the walls of your classroom and inspire your students beyond pen and paper. The story of Mooney Warther is largely rooted in the education for all students. Due to the death of his father, Mooney was forced to work at the age of 5, leaving formal education for winter only. Because of this, he only ever completed the second grade. But he did not let this stop him. His family encouraged reading, writing, and arithmetic each evening when he returned home. He knew the value of dedication to education and this carried through his adult life. What was created by Mooney was carried on through Dave Warther developing the museum in a way to reach children of all ages and from all over our state and nation.
Regardless of student age, we promote ideas, discussion, and inspiration
Our staff provides guided tours that are tailored to your class and we can focus our tour to target certain aspects of history, art, mathematics, or local/regional history. Please let us know how we can help you create a customized tour that will enhance your lesson plan and bring inspiration to your students.
