WartherFest 90th Anniversary Celebration

We are celebrating 90 years of being a museum! Mooney officially opened a dedicated museum building in 1936 to house his carvings and show them to visitors from around the world and 90 years later we are still doing just that! Come celebrate with us on June 12th and 13th as we have a fun-filled weekend celebrating all aspects of the Warther family with family-friendly activities, talks, walks, music, and more!

Friday June 12

  • 9-10: Media hour & first look

  • 10: state historical marker dedication and offical exhibit opening

  • 11: Free garden tour of frieda’s traditional Swiss gardens

Saturday June 13

  • First 50 Admissions receive free collector pliers

  • Free 150 keepsake backpacks for children

  • 9:30 Free Arboretum tour

  • 10:30-2:30 Live Chainsaw Carving

  • 10:30 Frieda Warther- Program*

  • 12 Ice cream in the grape arbor (while supplies last)

  • 1pm Intro to carving Workshop (soap carving)*

  • 1:30 Local Artists Signing

  • 2:30-5 Live Music featuring “the earnest Moonies” with Atom Lax, Jeremy Harmon, and Miles Riley
